The Snowdonia Wildlife Gardening Project was established in August 2002, and currently has 13 members, Antur Waunfawr, Snowdonia National Park Authority, Countryside council for Wales, Pals Tan y Bwlch, Treborth Botanical Gardens, Snowdonia Society, Friends of Croesor, Portmeirion Gardens, Gwynedd, Conway and Ynys Mon Councils, RSPB and the North Wales Nature Trust.

Antur Waunfawr is one of the founding members, the partnership’s purpose is to promote and encourage wildlife in our gardens. As a Founding partner Antur Waunfawr is able to provide practical
help and support to individuals, communities and organisations wanting to encourage wildlife in their green spaces and have helped establish a wildlife garden at the Waunfawr Primary School and within communities.

Why not enter the amateur; Best Wildlife Garden Competition in Gwynedd, Conwy and Anglesey

You can enter in one of the following 4 categories;

private gardens - small or large

school gardens

business gardens

community gardens

Entries need to be in before 28st May for 2008
A new award scheme is starting this year!
Bronze, silver and gold awards will be given to wildlife friendly gardens –
Also a first prize of £100 in each category.
There will be prizes for all schools entering.
All entrants receive free admission to Portmeirion for the prize giving ceremony on the 10th July, 2008.
