About us |

Antur Waunfawr
is a leading social enterprise providing employment and training
opportunities for people with learning disabilities in their
own community.
As well as playing an important role in the community, Antur
Waunfawr is also a key player in the regeneration of the
local economy.
Established in 1984, the
Antur’s activities have developed significantly and the
company currently employs over 70 people and is located
on the following sites:

Bryn Pistyll – Antur’s
original site located in the centre of Waunfawr.

Community Housing -
Located in, Waunfawr, Caernarfon and Penygroes.

Warws Werdd – Our
furniture shop on the Cibyn industrial estate,
Caernarfon.

Caergylchu – commercial and community
recycling facility based
on the Cibyn industrial estate, Caernarfon.

Antur Waunfawr’s community activities and business services are
varied:
Bryn Pistyll Site, Waunfawr
A popular attraction for local
people and tourists, which includes a nature park, gardens and
nursery, museum, crafts
and local products shop, cafe and children’s play area.
‘Cynllun Cartrefu’ (Community
Housing Project)
This enterprise helps adults
with learning disabilities to live independently and provides
training, 24 hour support,
therapeutic opportunities and leisure activities including holidays.
Commercial and Community
Recycling
Strategic partnership with Cyngor Gwynedd, to service community
bring sites and operating a materials recycling facility.
Collection of paper, cartridges cans and confidential shredding
service provided for local businesses and organisations.
Warws Werdd (Green Warehouse Project)
The restored, recycled and re-use furniture store.
The Warws Werdd includes a shop and showroom, workshop and
meeting/training room and sells all kinds of hidden
treasures at reasonable prices. |
